Slimshield Louver
Slimshield Louver are acoustic gratings which act as noise barriers and, at the same time, allow air flow. The Slimshield type has a completely flat front and is available in thicknesses of 100, 150, 300 and 600mm. The Slimshield louvre offers natural ventilation, noise reduction and aesthetics.

IAC Acoustics A/S' acoustic Slimshield™ gratings are suitable for mounting around noisy machinery which needs natural ventilation or cooling. The noise is attenuated as it passes through the grating over the underside of the slats, and air blows straight through. These acoustic slats or acoustic gratings, as they are also called, are used for reducing noise pollution in residential areas, industrial areas and as natural ventilation in facades and acoustic enclosures.
Possible applications include:
- Fresh air inlet for ventilation systems
- Screens around mechanical equipment at ground or roof level
- Acoustic barriers or noise screen
Acoustic Slimshield™ gratings
Acoustic gratings are available in many different surfaces and materials, from ordinary galvanised sheet to stainless steel and seawater-resistant aluminium.
The gratings also look great and are very popular with architects. Furthermore, they can be delivered with accessories such as bird netting, insect screens and frames.
